There a many lenders and many programs available for purchasing a new home. Doing your homework and selecting a lender you feel comfortable with is now easier than ever. There are a multitude or resources, tools, and comparison available online and your realtor can be a great source as well. 

In recent surveys, one of the most frustrating points in a home sell or purchase is the closing process when a lender cannot complete the transaction in a timely manner. For this reason, selecting the “right” lender is crucial. Here are some things to consider in your due diligence search for a lender:

  • Feedback from other customers on their experience
  • Feedback from family or friends who utilized their services
  • Feedback on the loan officer you’ll be working with
  • Feedback from your realtor
  • On average how long is their approve to close time frame

Note: The more you know about the lender, the better your experience will be.
